It is the nature of the beast that progress and good intentions will always be greeted with a like amount of naysayers and difficulties. 

I wanted to take the time to mention the passing of a political giant.  The “Liberal Lion” as he was known was a champion of civil rights and a man who truly valued his civic duty. 

Party loyalty has its place, however there is a little to gain from blind faith.
